With the package Your Holiday  you decide how your holiday should be like. No matter if you want to relax and take some time off  in the mountains to recharge your batteries or if you want to go on a discovery tour with us. Everything is possible!

This package is just right for you if you want to customize your holiday based on what YOU want.

Staying at our camp and reconnect with nature is the best way to relax, unwind and be active at the same. Further you have the perfect starting point and access to everything worth seeing in the Knuckles Mountain Range.

The camp itself has a rustic look which makes it so special and you can make yourself comfortable in our cabins.

The main log cabin forms the center of our camp. It includes the kitchen, a bar and a rustic fireplace. From there small paths lead to the cabin and social areas. The paths are lined up with small petroleum lamps that show the way. One path leads through the dense vegetation and opens surprisingly up to our view point. Another highlight in our  camp - the view is overwhelming.

There are countless colorful flowers and interesting plants scattered all over the camp area, and many colorful and unique birds are hidden between the leaves.

Our guides are well trained and are looking forward to introducing you to the diversity of this region.

Our focus is on bringing nature closer to you and perhaps showing you things that you have never seen before, even though they were always there.

After you arrived in our camp at around 4pm you will be welcome to our camp by our guides. They will introduce you to the camp and the surroundings you will be in the next days.

Followed by High Tea you can arrive and make yourself comfortable. The rest of the day you can settle down in your cabin and relax until we serve an authentic sri lankan dinner around 7.30pm followed by drinks at the bush bar.

The next day we will wake you up with sunrise. After a light breakfast of tea or coffee, juice and biscuits, we head straight out for the first activity of the day. You might head into the cloud forest, into the tea fields, to breathtaking waterfalls or some secret and favourite birding spots of our guides. The duration will be roughly about 3-5 hours and includes packed brunch and beverages.

Lunch would be served at 2.30pm (optional) or a light snack followed by tea and coffee. You have the option to relax the evening in camp, enjoying and absorbing the beautiful surroundings or have the chance to take part in a short nature trail through the misty tea fields, exploring the unique flora and fauna.

Dinner would be served around 07.30pm.

Thereafter we let the day comfortably end with a pleasant campfire at our beautiful viewpoint before a new exciting day is waiting for us.

The next day will wake you up at around 6.30-7.00 am. Followed by tea and coffee we head out around 8.30 - 9.00am to explore a beautiful waterfall. It is a half day excursion followed by lunch at the waterfalls.

Back at camp around 1.30 - 2.00 am you can pack up and get ready for departure.

This is just an example activity schedule and can be adjusted according to your wishes.

During your stay you will be accommodated in one of our cabins. The cabins have a bathroom with a hot shower.

A small terrace give you the opportunity to relax and listen to all the birds around you with no disturbance.

Our camp is located in the middle of a small forest and the animals and especially the birds are already used to us being in camp. Whoever is patient and observes can already hope for a few unique bird experiences right outside the door.

The Knuckles Mountain Range lies in central Sri Lanka, in the Districts of Matale and Kandy.

The range takes its name from a series of recumbent folds and peaks in the west of the massif which resemble the knuckles of clenched fist when viewed from certain locations in the Kandy District. The entire area is characterised by its striking landscapes often robed in thick layers of cloud but in addition to its aesthetic value the range is of great scientific interest. It is a climatic microcosm of the rest of Sri Lanka. The conditions of all the climatic zones in the country are exhibited in the massif. At higher elevations there is a series of isolated cloud forests, harbouring a variety of flora and fauna, some of which cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Although the range constitutes approximately 0.03% of the island’s total area it is home to a significantly higher proportion of the country’s biodiversity.

The Knuckles Mountain Range is a major eco-tourism venue of Sri Lanka and has been declared a conservation area, now known as the KNUCKLES NATIONAL HERITAGE AND WILDERNESS AREA.
