Heute ist World Elephant Day! Ein Tag, um unsere grauen Riesen zu ehren und auch über sie zu sprechen, denn sie benötigen unsere Aufmerksamkeit mehr denn je. Das Team von By Foot Adventures ist sehr stolz darauf, dass unser Heimatland Sri Lanka noch immer Heimat einer großen Anzahl asiatischer Elefanten ist. Was wäre Sri Lanka ohne Elefanten ..... Seit Jahrhunderten existieren Menschen und Elefanten Seite an Seite in Sri Lanka und sie sind Teil unseres Landes, unserer Kultur und Geschichte.

The team of By Foot Adventures is very proud that our homecountry Sri Lanka is still home to a large number of Asian Elephants. What would Sri Lanka be without elephants….For centuries already humans and elephants have coexisted in Sri Lanka and they are part of our country, culture and history.

The Green Garden Lizard is found in Sri Lanka and as well in India. It is a quite large lizard found in this family and can reach up to 65cm including the tail. The tail is quite long and slender, the body compressed but with long limbs. The hind-limbs reaches to the head. The head is comparatively large to the rest of the body.

Diese Eidechse ist in Sri Lanka und auch in Indien zu finden. Es ist eine recht große Eidechse in der Familie der Agamen und kann bis zu 65cm einschließlich des Schwanzes erreichen.
Der Schwanz ist ziemlich lang und schlank, der Körper ist schmaler, aber mit langen Gliedmaßen. Die hinteren Gliedmaßen reichen bis zum Kopf. Der Kopf ist vergleichsweise groß für den Rest des Körpers.
